For beginners as well as advanced dancers, we offer a wide range of courses every day at the AS Ballet School Berne and Boll. From the age of three, your little ones can practice their first dance steps with us - they couldn't be in better hands! Beginners in adulthood can also get a taste of dance and ballet. A career in ballet, dance or theater remains only a dream for many, but all our students learn to perceive art, understand music, enjoy attending a concert or theater performance and do something healthy for body and mind through dance and ballet.

We use curricula that are applied in leading ballet schools and dance schools around the world. Our interns and course instructors are also selected according to strict criteria and receive ongoing training from us.

A free trial lesson without obligation is possible at any time HISTORY With great pleasure we have passed on our experience to the students during the rehearsals for this performance. Most of them do dancing as a hobby, but this with great enthusiasm and one hundred percent commitment and request also a professional training.

The Ballet School was founded in 1996 by Sônia Melo and Alfonso Bausilio in Köniz near Bern. Guided by the principles of VAGANOVA (Russian) and R.A.D. (Royal Academica of Dancing, England), the R.A.D. method turned out to be the ideal approach for children between 4 and 6 years old.

Due to recurring trips to workshops and dance competitions in France, we had to realize that children trained according to R.A.D. principles are technically not challenged enough. We are now in a phase of change. In search of the optimal training method we want to work out a new concept. Examinations will continue to be carried out every year.

In 2000, Mr. Denis Mattenet, director and founder of the Centre de Danse de Montreux conducted the exams. This year, Mr. Bertrand Barena, professor of the Ecole de Ballet de l`Opéra de Paris will be the examiner. We intend to make this year's examinations, followed by a performance, available to the public. Members of the Association Francais Des Maitres De Danse Classique (Paris)We Sônia Melo and Alfonso Bausilio Former dancers at the Stadttheater Bern and members of the Association Francais Des Maitres De Danse we would like to pass on our experience to the students. Guided by the principles of VAGANOVA (Russian) and R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dancing, England), with many years of dancing with professional theaters all over the world and more than 10 years of our AS Ballet School and forming dancers in the professional theater Paris Opera and Bejart company, Rotterdam, and several competitions in France, Italy and U.S.A. with very good results. In search of the optimal training method we have developed a new concept. Examinations with competent international experts are every 2 years and every 2 years performance in the Stadttheater Bern (Since 3 years we do our performances in the Stadttheater Bern).

Our school is not only for professionals loite but for all: children adults, from August 2007 we also request a pre-professional training. From September 2008 we are also in our second school in Bern, our dream space, 240 m2 hall, bright and very nice atmosfer.

From Switzerland to New York The AS Ballet was founded by Sonia Melo and Alfonso Bausilio in 1996 in Boll Bern, Switzerland.We are very proud to be an International School and give the opportunity to kids from two different countries, already at a very Young age, to have an Idea about what other cultures think and dream about.We believe that it will be a great advantage for our students in the future either for their lives or for a future dance carrier.We participate, with our Swiss Students, in many dance competitions in Europe and in the US and also hope to bring Students from the US to participate in competitions in Europe.
