Our first urban dance school was founded in 2006 in Urdorf ZH. Meanwhile we count eight different TANZ-FABRIK studios in the area of Zurich and Aargau.

It is important to us that we offer a varied range of leisure activities for children and young people, which we are constantly expanding. The DANCE-FABRIC is a place of passion, of movement and of new interesting encounters. We are convinced that dance - besides the physical aspects of movement and joy - also has a very positive influence on social and cultural integration. We have always maintained a family-like relationship with our students. It is precisely this characteristic that distinguishes us - in addition to our professionalism - as a dance school: Familiar, great personal commitment and the ambition to teach the children and young people in a down-to-earth atmosphere.

Regular classes We offer a wide range of different dance styles: Hip Hop, Breaking, Urban Dance, Popping, Locking, Party Dance, House, Dancehall, Afro Dance, Urban Contemporary, Contemporary, Jazzdance, Showdance, Jazz Funk, LadyStyle, Jazz Acrobatics, Tumbling (Acroabtics), Dance Workout, KidsDance, DanceStyle and Yoga for kids, teens and adults. Many dance classes already take place in the afternoon, so that younger children who do not have school classes on certain afternoons can pursue a meaningful activity. TF-Talents & Flying-Talents In addition to our regular dance lessons, we have launched our talent development program - TF-Talents - in Urban and Breaking in the summer of 2020. We thus aim to harness and nurture the potential of our most motivated and talented student:s by developing their versatility, exploring new styles and deepening existing skills. In these remedial classes, students focus on the technique of their individual dance style, train for shows, and participate in contests/battles. Our TF-Talents can attend a training of their choice four times a week to expand their dance repertoire with other dance styles as well. Children and teenagers who are not yet ready to join the talent classes may train as candidates in our Flying-Talents development program. Crews The best of the best dancers in the advancement classes (TF-Talents) will join one of our crews. The crews perform their shows at various performances and dance contests.

OpenBreak For our tireless dancers who can't get enough of dancing, we have created an additional training on Sunday. The OpenBreak is a free training in which the students receive inputs/concepts in the area of breaking (breakdance) from the teacher and implement them individually with their existing repertoire or new moves. The goal of this class is for the dancers to improvise their freestyle, to make their foundation more multi-faceted. There should also be room for the kids & teens to come up with suggestions, which the teacher then implements spontaneously or in the next training. In this way one can improvise the existing repertoire and exchange ideas with other dancers through new connections. Our students benefit from the diverse influences of the dance scene - the feeling and the personal style are in focus. With this OpenBreak we also want to facilitate a dance youth meeting and thus strengthen the young breaking community. For all DANCE-FABRIK students the OpenBreak is free of charge. All out-of-town dancers are also cordially invited. You may drop in spontaneously and dance along without taking out a subscription. The cost for NON-TF members is CHF 5.- per session.

Breaking Battle Exclusively for our DANCE-FABRIK students we organize 2-3 internal Breaking Battles per year. We alternately use our different TANZ-FABRIK premises in Urdorf, Bremgarten and Winterthur. With these Battles we would like to make our contribution to the young Breaking generation, so that they learn at our school in a "protected setting", as it happens at public Battles of the dance scene. Battles are an important part of the Breaking scene; because dancing lives from the constant exchange with each other and the social encounters. They also give a dancer the kick again and again to develop themselves dance-wise, to push themselves and to work towards a certain goal. Such events are also great opportunities for our students to proudly show what they have learned.

Camp - Urdorf, Bremgarten and Winterthur During this time everything revolves around the world of dance, creativity and fun. The camps take place in the summer vacations (Urdorf, Bremgarten) and in the autumn and sports vacations (Winterthur) and are held during three days in the morning. The camps are dedicated to Hip Hop, Breaking & Tumbling (Tumbling - acrobatics and dance combined). During these three days, basics and a choreo are learned in the corresponding dance style and the own creativity is promoted.

Summer Workshops During the whole summer vacations we offer several times a week different dance classes for those who stay at home. All our TF-members are allowed to take part in any course they want without any limitations and without pre-registration - even if they have no previous knowledge in that dance style. External dancers pay a small fee: lesson à 55min 10.- // lesson à 85min CHF 15.-.

Master Workshops We regularly organize exclusive workshops with hot dancers of the scene. These workshops are open to everyone - even if you don't otherwise train at our dance school.
